StepCue
Last updated: September 9, 2026
1. Information Handled by StepCue
StepCue is a routine timer for iPhone. It stores routines, step names and durations, timer progress, completed run history, and preferences on your device. StepCue does not require an account or ask for your name, email address, contacts, precise location, microphone access, or payment card details.
2. How Your Routine Data Is Used
Your data is used to create and edit routines, run timed steps, restore timer progress, show run history, and apply your preferences. StepCue does not transmit routine content, step content, run history, or notification content to Woorlds or Google AdMob, and does not use that content to personalize ads.
3. Local Notifications
With your permission, StepCue schedules local notifications to support routine runs. Notifications may include routine or step names and can appear on the Lock Screen according to your iPhone settings. You can change notification permissions and preview visibility in iPhone Settings. StepCue does not use a developer-operated push notification server.
4. Storage and Security
Routine data is stored in the app's local container using Apple's storage technologies. StepCue does not operate a server for your routine data or provide its own iCloud synchronization. Device backups may include app data according to your Apple backup settings; backups are separate from app-level synchronization. Access to local data is subject to iOS security protections and your device security settings.
5. Advertising and Third-Party Services
StepCue uses Google AdMob for a banner on the Routines home screen and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising privacy choices where required. It also uses Apple platform services for local storage, notifications, and App Store distribution. StepCue does not integrate separate third-party analytics or advertising mediation services.
Google may process IP addresses, approximate location inferred from an IP address, device or advertising identifiers when permitted, ad impressions, interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. These data support ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and Google's advertising and analytics services. StepCue does not request precise location for ads or pass routine content or a custom user identifier to Google.
6. Advertising Privacy Choices
Depending on your region, Google UMP may show a form for your advertising privacy choices. When an ongoing privacy-options entry point is required, you can reopen it from StepCue's settings. Non-personalized or limited ads may still use technical data for delivery, security, and reporting. StepCue does not present an App Tracking Transparency permission request.
See the Google Privacy Policy, Google advertising information, and Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosures. Apple's services are covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.
7. Sharing and Support Requests
We do not sell your routine data or share it with advertising providers. Google may process advertising-related data as described above. If you email us for support, we receive your email address and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use those messages to respond to your request and resolve issues. Avoid including sensitive routine content in screenshots or support messages unless needed for your request.
8. Retention and Deletion
Local data remains on your device until removed. Deleting a routine does not erase its previously saved run history. Deleting the app removes its local app container; offloading the app can retain its data. Copies in device backups are managed through Apple's backup controls. To request deletion of support correspondence, contact us below. Google manages advertising data retention according to its policies and applicable privacy choices.
9. Children's Privacy
StepCue does not provide accounts or knowingly collect children's routine content through a developer-operated server. Advertising services may process the advertising-related information described above. If you believe a child has sent us personal information in a support request, contact us so we can address it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when StepCue's features or data practices change. The latest version will be published here with a revised update date.
